Description: 

Reports to all partners and directors.  In addition to delegating and reviewing projects and assignments related to all aspects of retirement plan administration, Manager also reviews projects and assignments as final review received directly from the Senior staff.  May also sign-off on projects.  Directly communicates to the client analysis and recommendations on client plan design.  Internally, efficiently trains and delegates work appropriately to other staff members.  Monitors staff chargeable hours goals and responsible for due date monitoring as well as manage internal staffing.  Resolve staff conflicts.  Maintains client due date database systems.  Develop and implement internal processes and procedures.  Develop internal training procedures.  Manage workflow.  Manage and implement annual mailings in a timely and efficient manner.  Participate in prospective client engagements.  Develop new client relationships and maintain current referral relationships. 

Duties: 
  • Assess, develop and implement staff training including staff CPE and internal technical and year-end training
  • Attend Partner/Manager meetings and submit agenda items
  • Analyze staffing hours and realization for purposes of communicating to Partners and the Utilization Committee
  • Review projects and provide recommendations directly to the client
  • Maintain relationships with clients and referral sources
  • Manage staff including individual chargeable hours
  • Develop and implement department procedures
  • Review data received from client and contact client or broker to obtain additional data needed to complete project
  • Review discrimination testing, valuation reports, government forms, and correspondence
  • Provide recommendations directly to the Partner and client as well as sign off on the project
  • Coordinate and/or review retirement plan documents
  • Review trust accounting workpapers on a limited-scope
  • Maintain and utilize scheduling solutions in order to manage workload
  • Enter time into VPM on a daily basis
  • Complete firm CPE requirements
  • Maintain technical and industry knowledge and ability
  • Billing
  • Annual mailings implemented on a timely and efficient basis
  • Perform annual reviews of client work and communicate review to the Partners and staff

  • Manages projects between self and staff efficiently and effectively
