| Primary Responsibilities General · Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the firm. · Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives. · Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all internal processes. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company. · Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans and policies for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization. · Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the firm. · Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner. · Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action. · Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. · Oversee and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the firm. This includes oversight and guidance of finance, budget planning, technology, human resources, contract negotiation, legal and firm administration. Financial · Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, and/or mergers and pension funds and investments. · Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance, including year-end review and annual budgeting processes. · Maintain 5-year rolling forecast model. · Supervise Internal Accounting function, approve all invoices and sign accounts payable checks, and provide oversight to monthly accounting/financial analysis. · Provide oversight of ESOP-related matters including eligibility, participant allocations, roll forward of shares and phantom stock shares, calculation of redemption obligations and diversification allocations. · Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position. · Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism, which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. · Be an advisor, from the financial perspective, on any contracts into which the corporation may enter. · Responsible for capital planning and expenditures. · Serve as the trustee for the firm's 401(k) pension plan. · Develop internal communications and reports as needed. Technology Providing guidance to the IT Director: · Supports the management of the company's Information Systems network and policies to assure the development and implementation of data processing, computer operations and related functions (communications, office systems, office equipment, production activities, etc.). · Participates in strategic planning to identify Information Technology applications to support business plans or create new strategic options. · Evaluates and advises on IT staffing and development, organization, hardware acquisitions and facilities for the information systems department to assure that they are consistent with and supportive of the business plans of the firm. · Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware to assure that new developments are incorporated in future systems of the firm. Human Resources Providing guidance to the HR Director: · Ensures the people function of the firm is structured and directed in accordance with the policies and practices of the firm, the ethical and social consciences of business and society and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. · Participates in strategic human resource planning to provide the company with the best people talent available and to position the company as the Employer of Choice by being aware of policies, practices and trends within the accounting industry, and all of industry in general. · Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attractive, motivation, development and retention of people resources of the firm. · Assists with the development of progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance and to provide programs, which utilize an employee and company partnership for the short and long-range health and welfare protection of the employees. Firm Administration · Attend all management meetings, overseeing any physical arrangements as needed. Work with the Managing Partner to prepare and distribute agendas. Handle information distribution and is responsible for meeting minutes. · Manage firm's timely billing of all WIP, maximizing billing realizations and timely collection of the firm's accounts receivables. · Responsible for determining the administrative team members needed to efficiently process client engagements and support firm activities. This includes personnel in Facilities and Production, Office Management, Internal Accounting, Human Resources and Information technology. Develop job descriptions for all administrative positions. · Direct relocation of KSM's offices including location selection, lease negotiation and related matters. · Supervise the handling of legal matters and documents including, but not limited to, responding to subpoena requests, legal actions taken to collect delinquent accounts receivable, professional liability actions, etc. involving KSM. · Participate with the Managing Partner in the mentoring of new or younger Partners. · Serve as a management contact and advisor to wholly-owned or partially owned KSM entities. · Facilitate resolution of business/operational issues between KSM groups. |
